hey there. I’ve been working on a documentary in the Amazon, & it’s time to ask my community for support.

the Amazon is one of the last great wild places on Earth & its health affects all of us.

the carbon it holds.
the water it cleans.
the air it helps us breathe.
the biodiversity & countless species it shelters.
this incredible interconnected circle of life we are all a part of.

there is so much we can learn from the Indigenous peoples who have protected & lived in relationship with these lands for generations~the skills, crafts, ancient knowledge, stories, ways of living, & understanding that the land is not separate from us.

this film is an attempt to listen.

the Indigenous community I’m working with have asked to speak to the modern world—to share what they know, what they are protecting, & what is happening to their land.

they are asking for support in getting their story beyond the forest.

& it’s an incredible honor.

so I’m making this documentary to learn from & support Indigenous communities in the Amazon~to understand the landscape, listen to the stories, and help bring attention to protecting their land & culture.

my path is to listen to, amplify & support Indigenous communities; to learn these ancient ways; to rewild & decolonize my own life; & to remember our relationship with the natural world.

because somewhere along the way, we forgot.

indigenous communities remind us that every object has an origin. every material comes from somewhere. every resource carries a responsibility to give back.

the water. the forests. the people. the animals. the stories. the land.

this is what matters.

it’s about what our children will inherit—and whether they will still know what a truly wild place feels like.
